Burns
Below are the home remedies to provide relief for minor burns caused by boiling water or oil. Please consult a doctor if the burn is severe.
  • Honey is a common home remedy used for burns. Raw honey has wonderful antiseptic and healing properties.
  • Diluted vinegar acts as a painkiller. Cover the burned area with a cloth soaked in diluted vinegar. Change the cloth with a fresh one when the pain increases and continue this as long as necessary.
  • Egg whites heals and prevents scarring from the burn. Cover the burned area with egg whites. Reapply the whites when the area gets dried up.
Constipation
  • Lemon juice - Mix 1 tsp of lemon juice in a glass of warm water and add a pinch of salt. Drinking this juice on an empty stomach relieves constipation.
  • Oranges - Eating 2 oranges daily provides relief from constipation. They are a great source of vitamin C and also have a large amount of fiber content.
  • Spinach - This is the most effective method to cure even the worst cases of constipation. Mix 100 ml of spinach juice with 100 ml of water and drink twice daily.
  • Ghee and Milk - Add 2 tsp of ghee in a glass of warm milk and drink before going to bed.
  • Prunes - Eat prunes or drink 2 glasses of prune juice everyday. Prunes are rich in fiber and contain sorbitol, a stool-loosening sugar that naturally helps relieve constipation.
